HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

Dogs and cats originating from within Wisconsin - Dogs over 5 months of age must have proof of current rabies vaccination.

Dogs and cats originating from outside Wisconsin - All dogs and domestic cats shall be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and have proof of a current rabies vaccination if the dog or cat is five months old or older. See ATCP 10.80 for specific vaccination information.

- St. Croix County Fair, Inc. requires that all cats over 4 mos. of age must have a vaccination status that is

            current for the following:                         Feline Rhinotracheitis                       

                                                                        Panleukopenia

                                    Calici Virus                 

                                    Rabies (given and certified by a veterinarian)

- All vaccinations must be given at least 2 weeks prior to the fair.

           Feline exhibitors are also encouraged to have their cats vaccinated for Feline Leukemia and Chlamydia.  Please consult your veterinarian for their recommendation in your specific area

- All cats and kittens must be vaccinated for rabies and distemper.  A certificate of vaccination must be shown at the time of veterinary inspection prior to the show.  It is recommended cats & kittens have a booster distemper shot, but it is not required for showing at the Fair.

- All cats must be free of external parasites including fleas, ear mites, & ringworm.  Any cat found by the show veterinarian to be exhibiting signs of any contagious, infectious, or communicable disease including fleas,ear mites,or ringworm, will not be allowed to exhibit at the fair.

- No whole male cats will be allowed.  No obviously pregnant or nursing cats should be shown. 

            GENERAL RULES

- Limit of one animal per exhibitor

- Cage drapes are required. Bath towels or old curtains work, held in place with clothes pins or safety pins.

- Age classification:  Kitten (4-8 mo.)    Adults (over 8 mo.)

- Hair types:  Short hairs (1" or under)    Long Hair (over 1")
