DEPT 22  -  WOODWORKING

 

-       Open to youth enrolled in the Woodworking Project

-       All articles to be cut and assembled by 4-H members

-       Include plans or step-by-step instructions for all woodworking entries.  Failure to provide plans will result in a lower ribbon placing

-       Items made from a kit are acceptable, indicate on your instructions/plans that item is from kit

-       All articles are to be finished according to their intended use

-       The quality of the finish will be considered as part of the workmanship in the evaluation and judging

 

Exhibit suggestions:  Any item from project materials, useful article for use in farm or home workshop, article for use out-of-doors, article for use in storage, article for use in kitchen or living room, article for use in the home, toy or home made game, article of creative design from wood, or wood and other materials, etc.

 

CLASS A

Premiums:  Blue $1.75   Red $1.50    White $1.25   Pink $1.00

Designed for the first year woodworking member, using basic woodworking tools and skills, or basic kit

-       Designed for youth who have used a hammer, handsaw, hand or cordless drill or other basic hand tools
