DEPT 24 - MECHANICAL PROJECTS

CLASS A - 4-H/FFA TRACTOR PROJECT OPERATORS CONTEST (Contest will be held in June) Premiums: Blue $2.50 Red $2.25 White $2.00 Pink $1.50 Lot No.: 1. Contest

CLASS B - TRACTOR MAINTENANCE
Exhibit suggestions: tractor safety, different kinds of nuts, bolts, screws, etc. on farm machinery, damaged parts caused by poor maintenance, chart on lubrication, proper care & adjustments, etc. Lot No. 1. CLASS C - TRACTOR RESTORATION - Display needs to be in place by 5 pm - Exhibitors must check in with the judge at the Cloverbud/Explorer Building before 5 pm - Judging will occur at 5 pm Lot No.

CLASS D - SMALL ENGINE - Open to members enrolled in Small Engines – Unit 1:
Exhibit suggestions: identification of parts, steps in service job, preparing engine for off-season storage, safety, show diagram of one of the systems (fuel, lubrication, ignition), events in an engine, etc. Lot No.
Open to members enrolled in Small Engine, Unit 2:
Exhibit suggestions: Identification of parts, events in an engine, carburetor parts with explanation of function, preventive maintenance, safety, etc.
Open to members enrolled in Small Engine, Unit 3:
Exhibit suggestions: Carburetor function, ignition system, maintenance of your mower, comparing & purchasing, etc.

CLASS I – BUILDING SKILLS (Legos, Knex, etc.)
- Open to members enrolled in the Building Skills Project - Kits may be used – include designs or plans - Original Design - include any drawings, designs or plans that were a part of the project. - Any toy building system may be used - Exhibit must be displayed on a board not larger than 20” x 20” - Each exhibit must be a different structure (i.e. vehicle, aircraft, building, scene, etc.)
