How to Submit an Article

So you want to add an article to the website? Here's how.
- If you don't already have an account you will need to create one. Otherwise, login on the right side under the Login module.
- Once it says Hi <insert name here> you will notice there is another menu called 'User Menu'.
- Click Submit Article.
- Fill out the form. Below are descriptions of what each piece is.
- Title - The title of the page
- Body - The body of the article which typically includes all of the information you want published.
- Buttons under Body section - You can add an image, pagebreak, or a 'read more' teaser.
- Section - Choose a section first, then you will choose a category. This places the article on the correct page. Dig around and it will start making sense.
- Category - Choose a section first, then you will choose a category. This places the article on the correct page. Dig around and it will start making sense.
- Show on Front Page - Whether or not you want it shown on the home page along with the page for the section/category.
- Start Publishing - When you want this article to show up on the website. You can write as many articles as you want and this field will make it so you can control when the article should be published.
- Finish Publishing - When you want this article to no longer be on the website.
- Access Level - Would you like this article to show up for anyone who visits the website or would you like people to login to the site first? If you want everyone to see it choose Public. Otherwise you choose Registered.
- Metadata - You can put a description and keywords for your article so it shows up in search engines better. We can also implement a 'Whats Related' module so your article may show up on another page. More information to come if interested. Email the Webmasters.
- When you are done with your article click Save. The St. Croix County 4-H Web Team will review all articles and approve it within 24 hours. If they have questions they will contact the person who wrote the article via email.
