St Croix County 4-H

Learning By Doing

Welcome to St. Croix County 4-H. We are glad you found our home on the Internet and hope to provide you with a ton of information while you are here and in the future.

St Croix County, created in 1840 as a territorial county, is named after French explorer St Croix. Located in west central (maybe even north west) Wisconsin, the county seat is Hudson and the county fair is in Glenwood City. You can find St. Croix County just outside of the Twin Cities metro about 30 minutes from downtown St. Paul, MN.

St. Croix County 4-H has about 750 enrolled members ranging from grade 1 through high school. St. Croix 4-H is not just a youth organization, it is a family organization with something for everyone. Just ask one of our 250 4-H volunteer leaders. With 20 4-H clubs in St. Croix County, a youth or adult should not have a difficult time finding a club or committee to join... the hard part is deciding which club or committee to join! 4-H members come from all different residences. It is not primarily for 'farm kids'. There are many things to do even if you live in the city, ask any of our 63 city members (in communities larger than 10,000 people).

If you have any questions about the website feel free to contact the webmaster. We have a team of people who are willing to assist you in getting the information you need. You can also call the UWEX office at using our Contact Us form at the top of this page.

Enjoy and hope to see you at one of the many 4-H functions in the county!
