Learn how to select, feed, manage, breed, fit, show, evaluate, and market a dairy animal. Age and experience of the member will determine the nature of the project. Activities include identifying dairy breeds, how to milk a cow, keeping a cow healthy and safe, exploring th eneeds of dairy animals, learning about dairy organizations, attending a dairy farm tour, packaging a dairy project, conducting a diary food survey, exploring careers in the dairy industry, teaching others about dairy projects, and dealing with animal waste. Dairy steer projects should enroll in Beef as well. Countywide meetings are offered.
The Dairy Project is managed by the 4-H Dairy Committee and Todd Doornick is the chairman.
